Earl Howlett, 89 of Hillsville, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Howlett was born in Hillsville, VA to the late Robert Nando and Daisy Horton Howlett. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Earlene Howlett.

Mr. Howlett is survived by his wife, Alice Lois Howlett of the home; daughter and special friend, Wilma Johnson and Greg Morgan both of Hillsville; and special family friend, Ted Webb of Hillsville.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Mountain Plains United Methodist Church at 1:00 PM with Pastor Greg Ezell officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain Plains Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
