Earl Howard Dalton, 91, of Hillsville, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mr. Dalton was born in Carroll County to the late James Isaac and Belva Davis Dalton. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Ronnie Dalton; son-in-law, Marion Stilwell; grandson, Marty Stilwell; three sisters; and two brothers. Survivors include his wife, Lucille Dalton of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Gayla Stilwell of Hillsville, Brenda and Jim Bazzle of Hillsville, Maggie and Gary Monteith of King, NC, and Lisa and Harry Daugherty, Jr. of Roanoke; son and daughter-in-law, Sanford and Theresa Dalton of Hillsville; daughter-in-law, Wanda C. Dalton of Hillsville; sister, Imogene Henley of Galax; brother and sister-in-law, Douglas and Janie Dalton of Hillsville; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Wright and staff at the Wytheville VA Home Health. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 3:30 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Edward Richardson and Pastor Tony Hodge officiating. Burial will follow in Little Vine Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:30 until 3:30 PM.
