E. Frank Cooley, Sr., 89, of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax, VA.

He was preceded in death by his parents Everette Rudolph and Molly Kate Worrell Cooley; daughter Jeanne Driver.

He is survived by his wife Ella Kate Cooley; sons and daughters in-laws, Ellis Franklin Cooley Jr., and Marie Cooley Murrells Inlet, SC, Roger A. and Jan H. Cooley of Beaversdam, VA, Dennis P. and Terri Cooley of Kernersville, NC; daughters and son in-law Susie Cooley of Hillsville, and Teresa and Patrick Sullivan of Stokesdale, NC; brother and sister in-law Jack and Mildred Cooley of Hillsville; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

Funeral services will held on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Hillsville First Christian Church with Dr. John Dunstan and Gene Elkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Coal Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 Pm. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
