Duane Alan Smythers, 62 of Woodlawn, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at his home.  Mr. Smythers was born in Carroll County to the late Billy and Grace Smythers.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Onitia Smythers.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Smythers; step-children, Andy Golding (Misty), Emmy Zenner, and Lania House; brother and sister-in-law, Tim Haley and Doris; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; niece Channon Zenner (Shawn); and special family and friends, Bruce Vaughn, Randy Grimes, Tommy Smith, Jeff Zenner, Corey Hammons, Bobby Smythers, and Kyle Frazier.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Monta Vista Memory Gardens.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
