Duane Ray Smythers 82 of Hillsville passed away at his home on Friday, September 2, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Alene Tate Smythers; parents, Vinton C. and Oza Rae Gravley Smythers; brother, Gene Smythers; sister, Joyce Webb.

Survivors include his daughter, Pamela Smythers Larrowe; son, Jeffrey Duane Smythers; grandchildren, Adam Larrowe and Amanda Larrowe; sibling's, Bernice Maddox, Elvin Smythers, David Smythers, Gloria Reece, Wanda Parnell, Carolyn Marsh, Susan Surratt, and Karen Taylor.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Ray Bolen officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery.
