Douglas James Tolbert, 63 of Austinville, passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery.  Mr. Tolbert was born in Martinsville, Virginia on July 27, 1957.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mary "Mimi" and James Robinson and a brother. Terry Tolbert.

Survivors include his mother, Juanita Tolbert; son, Adam Tolbert; sisters, Patricia Graham and Janet Alderman; brother-in-law, Wayne Graham; nephew, David Alderman; and several cousins and aunts.

A private graveside service with burial following will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the James Robinson Cemetery with Pastor Harold Boyd officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Coulson Church c/o Janet Alderman 1020 Oak Grove Road, Austinville, VA 24312. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
