Douglas Richard "Doug" Meredith, 80 of Fancy Gap, VA passed away on Saturday, September 23rd at Northern Regional Hospital in Mt Airy. He was born to the late J.P. and Clara Meredith on August 25, 1943. Doug was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Gardner Meredith, who he married October 6, 1962. He is also survived by his children, Greg Meredith (April) and Tracy Bryant (Rod); his precious grandchildren, Dillon Bryant and friend, Alex Lewis, Maggie Bryant and friend, Adam Horton, Cora Meredith and friend, Colby Sprouse and Colton Meredith and friend, Taylor Quesenberry. Also surviving is his sister, Sandra and George Weddle; nephews, John Weddle and Paul Weddle; and his special little canine friend, Diesel.

There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Round Knob Baptist Church at 4:00 pm with Pastor Bobby Webb officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice or to the charity of the donor's choice.
