Dossie Shockley Hall, 82, of Wytheville, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Edgemont Center in Wytheville. Mrs. Hall was born in Carroll County to the late Elmer Smith and Neatie Lougay Edwards Shockley. Survivors include her husband, Charlie W. Hall, of Hartfield; daughter, Barbara Vass and Fred Richardson of Wytheville, step children, Shirley Jackson of Talbott, TN, Verlan Hall of Hartfield, Leon Hall of Springfield, and Archie Hall of Hillsville; special grandson, Richard Hall; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Minister James Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in the Shockley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, beginning at 1:00 PM and lasting until service time. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
