Dorothy Frazier Utt, 80, of Austinville, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 29th, surrounded by her family. She was born in Woodlawn, VA to the late Henry and Martha Davidson Frazier in January of 1932 and attended Woodlawn High School. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers Dale Frazier and R.C. Frazier. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 56 years, Arkie Utt of the home; her daughter, Teresa Utt and her husband Rick Lucchesi of Westerly, RI; her son, Terry Utt and his wife Ceylanda Owens Utt of Hayesville, NC. She also leaves behind the three joys of her life - her three grandsons: Samuel, Seth and Jaron Utt. Also surviving are nine brothers and sisters: Adeen Sumner, Lloyd Frazier and wife Edna, Herbert Frazier and wife Jewel, Kyle Frazier and wife Katherine, Grace Smythers and husband Billy, Zona Briggs and husband John, Edith Frazier, Fern Hanks and husband Donald, Glenna Winesett and husband Dean; sisters-in-law: Mavis Frazier, Nora Frazier and Lucy Hall; and 25 nieces and nephews. Dorothy will be remembered for her big heart, her love for her family, her No-Bake Cookies and because she loved to laugh and did so many times when it was least appropriate. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the Woodlawn Church of God at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.
