Dorothy A. Martin, 81, of Hillsville, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. Martin was born in Carroll County, VA to the late Erby McCoy and Hannah Emaline Goad Harris. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Allen Martin and brother, Dewey Lester Harris.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Retha and Randy Morris of Parker, CO; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Patsy Martin of Hillsville; sister, Linda Kerns of Beltsville, MD; grandchildren and spouses, Jason C. Morris, Jonathan M. Morris, Tomas E. and Sara M. Morris, April D. Martin, and Amber L. and Justin B. Huff; great grandchildren; Maren E. Morris, Gunner K. Huff, Jude S. Morris, and Wyatt A. Morris.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. Chris Burnette officiating. Burial will follow in the Isaac Banks Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
