Dorothy Marie Hicks, 87 of Mocksville, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Willowbrook Health Care Center. Mrs. Hicks was born in West Virginia to the late Arthur Monroe and Viola Mae Collins. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, David Hicks and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her sons, Albert Luffman, Robert Luffman, Thomas Hicks, and Alben Hicks; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Ray Bolen officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardner Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
