Donna Lou Moore, 83, of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows. Mrs. Moore was born in Carroll County to the late Doy and Lillian Gladys Allison Jennings. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Sylvan Ervin Moore; daughter, Vickie Lou Moore; and brother Marion Jennings.

Survivors include her children and spouses, Sherry Brooks of Galax, Brenda Loyd of Hillsville, Linda Burnette and Rufus of Galax, Dale Moore and Brenda of Woodlawn, and J.D. Moore of Hurt, VA; sister, Jean Higgs of Laurel Fork; eight grandchildren, Melissa Brooks, Connie Evans, Anthony Horsley, Tonya McKnight, Spencer Loyd, Sasha Presley, Shannon Underwood, and Lepresca Torres; twenty great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Hillsville Pentecostal Holiness Church at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Pickett officiating. Burial will follow in the Allison Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 12:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
