Donna Jean Alderman Lawson, 51 of Hillsville, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents John K. & Lydia Wright and her paternal grandparents E.B. & Hallie Alderman. Mrs. Lawson is survived by her husband Keith Lawson of Hillsville; daughter Kaylan Lawson of Hillsville; parents James Roscoe & Lorraine Alderman of Dugspur; brother & sister-in-law Ronnie & Bernice Alderman of Galax; special nephew Chris Alderman; six special great nieces and nephews; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 1:30 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Brother Stevie Alderman officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 one hour prior to the funeral service.
