Donald (Donnie) Ray Gravley, 70 of Woodlawn, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. Mr. Gravley was born in Hillsville to the late Fred Lee and Carrie Opal Parnell Gravley. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a twin brother, Bobby Gravley.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie F. Gravley of the home; children, Teresa Nester of Woodlawn, Allen Surratt of Woodlawn, and Stephanie Carter and husband, Eric of Vinton; sister, Cathy Shelor of Hillsville; half-brother, Fred (Ink) Gravley of Dublin; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 1:00 PM with Samuel Burnette and Billy Burnette officiating. Burial will follow in Wilkinson Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Flowers are welcome; however, should friends desire, contributions may be made to the Woltz Hospice Home 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
