Donald David Price, 60 of Hillsville, went to be with the Lord, Saturday November 1, 2008 at his home. He was the son of the late Lewis K. Price. Mr. Price is survived by his step mother, Jacquline P. Price of Clinchburg; sisters Allen Peery, husband Steven of Manassas; Teresa Van Dyke of Richlands; nieces Dawna Phipps, husband John of Midland; Myra Raines, husband Kenneth of Martinsburg, WVA; Jamie Sue Lane of Hollywood, MD; several aunts, uncles also survive. One Special Uncle and Guardian Doug Pierce of Clinchburg, VA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mallissa Robbins Van Dyke; and brothers Kimple Price and Timothy Vandyke.

A very heartfelt and sincere Thanks goes to the staff at SWVTC for their excellent care and understanding that was shown Donald, during his 31 years at center. SWVTC was home to Donald, and the family wishes to especially Thank the individuals that worked closely with Donald, showing their love and compassion toward him, which resulted in Donald having a very enjoyable and happy life. A very special thank you is expressed to Tammy Mabe, Greg Field, Dr. Mayberry, nursing staff, and staff of 8 B cottage. He will be missed deeply by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 4, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Russell Payne & Rev. Charlie Millner officiating. His earthly body will be laid to rest in the Mount Rose Cemetery, Glades Spring, VA until his spirit goes to heaven. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday morning before the service from 10:00 until 11:00 AM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady is serving the family.
