Donald Eugene Kimble Jr., 64, of Dugspur, VA, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. He was born in Hillsville, VA on September 25, 1961 to Donald and Georgia Kimble.

Referred to on at least one occasion as "the Bob Ross of plumbing," Gene was a generous and talented person always willing to help those around him, day or night.

Gene is preceded in death by his father, Donald Kimble Sr. and granddaughter, Elliott Jenkins. He is survived by his partner, Sandy Lindsey; children, Bethany (Brian) Jenkins, Lillie (Zach) Erlemann, Grace Lindsey, and Cole Lindsey; grandchildren, Judge Jenkins and Ezra Erlemann; mother, Georgia Kimble; siblings, Susan (Darrell) Cockram, Teresa (Terry) Jennings, and Jeff (Gina) Kimble; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive guests and friends on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Stone Mountain Baptist Church in Laurel Fork, VA. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM. A brief graveside service will then follow in the Kimble Family Cemetery in Laurel Fork, VA.

The family wishes to thank Gentry and Son Plumbing in Mount Airy, NC for their support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC.
