Donald Franklin Johnson, Sr., 78 of Dugspur, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at his home. Mr. Johnson was born in North Carolina to the late Walter F. and Ersie Covington Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Ray Johnson.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Johnson; children and spouses, Holly Crowder and Darryl, Donald Franklin Johnson, Jr. and Deana, Brian Johnson and Pam, and David Johnson and Teresa; siblings and spouses, Cheryl Foley (Ron), Larry Gene Johnson (Hanna), and Frankie Lee Johnson (Debbie); and grandchildren, Jared Crowder, Kendra and Ryan Buick, Noah and Sydnie Johnson, Micah Johnson, Chandler Johnson, Luke Johnson, and Jonah Johnson.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Summerfield Cemetery in Summerfield, NC. Friends and family are welcome to attend. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
