Donald Perry Higgs , 52 of Galax, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Higgs was born in Radford, Virginia on Nov. 2, 1964. He was preceded in death by his father, Delmer Dale Higgs.

Donald is survived by his mother, Jean Higgs of Laurel Fork; brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Debbie Higgs of Hillsville; sister, Marcia Lynn Higgs of Galax; nephew, Eudale Higgs; and special friends, Lisa and Chris Sumner.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 2:30 PM at the Higgs Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
