Dewey P. Luper, Sr., 94 of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Commonwealth Senior Living of Hillsville. Mr. Luper was born in Grayson County, Virginia to the late James William and Rose Shores Luper. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his son, Dewey Luper, Jr.; grandsons, Chanson Luper and Treven Luper; step-granddaughter, Aaliyah Bullion; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Pickett officiating. Burial will follow in the Fries Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Grover King Post 1115. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
