Dennis James Wahrer, 70 of Max Meadows, passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 11, 2021.  Mr. Wahrer was born in Fort Lewis, WA to the late John August and Opal Marie Lehman Wahrer.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by siblings, Joseph Wahrer, Charles Wahrer, Judith Wahrer Hoey, and Thomas Wahrer.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Hendrick Wahrer; daughter, Amie Joe Unruh; granddaughter, Ivy Nicole Unruh; and sister, Carolyn Jane Wahrer.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date at the Legacy Church in Wytheville.  The Patriot Guard will escort Dennis to Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Sierra Vista, Arizona at a later date.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
