Obituary

Dennis Jamison Osborne, "Jamey," 45, of Fancy Gap, Virginia, passed away on November 23, 2016 at home. Jamey was born in Lynchburg, Va. and resided there until age 14, when he moved to Sacramento, Ca. Jamey graduated from Roseville High School and attended Sierra College, and has remained friends with many of his classmates. He is survived by his mother, Sherry Foster and his beloved Nana, Dorothy Staples of Fancy Gap, his uncle Geoff Staples and aunt Lori, and their children Ellie Jane and Matthew, all of Newport News, Va.; his uncle, Doug Osborne and his wife, Sue of Pawley's Island, SC; their children Karen Bennett (Scott) of Hixson Tn. and Amy Gruber (John) of Charlotte, N.C.; his special great aunt, Lorena McCann of Charlottesville; and many numerous cousins he loved. He had three special friends, Frank Fiddyment; and Mindy Hertzell and her husband, Chad, who took such good care of him when he had his accident in Roseville, and momma had to go home; Theresa Morgan, his ex-wife remained a good friend and his step-daughter, Blair Michelle and her husband John. Jamey had six wonderful grandchildren of whom he was very proud.

Jamey was preceded in death by his dad, Donald J. Foster, of Fancy Gap, His other dad, Dennis K. Osborne of Halifax; his half-brother Cabell Osborne, of Richmond; maternal grandfather, Charles E. Staples; and paternal grandparents, Dr. Paul J. Osborne and Anne B. Osborne.

Jamey was a sweet old soul. He loved to tease, but had a private side too, which he shared with very few people. He brought joy and smiles to anyone around him and was ready to give you the shirt off his back or his last dollar to someone who needed it. He will be missed by all those who knew him well, or came into contact with him - his mother most of all, will miss her sweet boy!

Jamey donated his eyes to Dominion Eye Bank so he could help others to see. He will be cremated and services will be held Tuesday, November 29, at Vaughn – Guynn – McGrady Chapel. Visitation will be at 1:00 and a memorial service will follow at 2:00, officiated by his great uncle, Reverend Roy Parker of Gretna, Va.
