Denise Carolyn Webb, 53, of Hillsville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Webb was born in Cana, Virginia to the late Coleman Roger and Pauline Hassie Tilley Dowell. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Donnie Ray Dowell. Survivors include her husband, Donald L. Webb of the home, sons, Jason Branch and Donald J. Webb both of Hillsville; siblings and spouses, Douglas Dowell of Cana, Dewayne Dowell of Cana, Diane and Eddie Bailey of Galax, Darlene Cockerham of Dobson, NC, Delorise Edwards of Galax, and Dortha and Terry Felts of Fancy Gap; and four grandchildren, Drew Branch, Laci Lundy, Jasmine Harris, and Odin Dalton. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. Eddie Bailey and Rev. Oscar Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Tobler Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
