Denise Darsell Bond, 58 of Fancy Gap, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.  Mrs. Bond was born in Galax, Virginia on September 25, 1965.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara J. Melton.

Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Bond; sons, Chanson Bond (Rebekah) and Chad Bond (Stephanie); grandchildren, Jace Bond, Christian Bond, Jaxon Bond and Lucian Burgess; father, James Perry; brothers, Ricky Perry (Sharon) and Mike Perry (Shelia); sister, Sharon Lundy (Danny); and special friend, Lynn Spraker.

Denise was a beautiful person, both inside and out.  She had a strength like no other and an unwavering faith.  She was a loving wife, mother, mawmaw, daughter, sister and friend and her love touched the lives of many.  Denise took great joy in cooking for her family and in planting beautiful flowers.  Her home was a testament of her love and devotion to her husband, sons, and her dogs.

As a mother, Denise always made sure to create cherished memories for her boys.  Despite her battle with MS, she never gave up and continued to persevere.  Her beautiful smile would light up any room, especially when she received visitors.

She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.  Her legacy of love, strength, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire and uplift those she leaves behind.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at the Hillsville Pentecostal Holiness Church at 2:00 PM with Pastors Jeff Pickett and Mike Bond officiating.  Burial will follow in the White Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Sunday at the church from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service.  The family would like to express a special "thank you" to Waddell Nursing and Staff  for their wonderful care. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
