Delton Creed "Pos" Semones, 84 of Galax, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.  Mr. Semones was born in Carroll County to the late Amburn and Pauline Harriman Semones.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a grandson, Eric Creed Semones; and brother, Lewis Walter Semones.

Survivors include his children, Chad Eric Semones (Amy), Leslie Semones (Kyneathia), and Greg Semones; siblings, Marie Horton, Zennith Banks, Emma Shupe (Jim), Joe Semones, and Tony Semones (Judy); grandchildren, Jacob Semones, Savannah Semones, Kory Semones (Caity), Mandy Brannock, Brittany Jones (Jon), and Casey Semones; thirteen great-grandchildren; special friend, Shirley Webb; mother of his children, Millie Mitchem.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at Waddle Nursing and Rehab for their care of Delton.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Pickett officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday the 29th from 12:00 until 1:00 PM prior to the memorial service.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
