Della May West Fisher, age 81, of Hillsville, VA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Hillsville Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Fisher was born in Bedford, OH on October 19, 1943 to the late Ralph Jerome and Dora Messer West. She was the wife of 20 years to John W. Fisher.

Della was an avid horseback rider and has spent her life enjoying her passion with her family and close friends. She loved taking her daughter Sherry to many horse shows and events growing up instilling that same love and passion for horses. Della and John were blessed to meet each other riding on their favorite horse trails and they spent many, many years enjoying their adventures together with their family and friends. Della also enjoyed visiting with her siblings, nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her husband are daughter, Sherry Pastor and partner Marty Madera of CA; brother, Carl West and wife Bonnie of PA; sister-in-law, Linda Hunt of FL; nieces, Lori Reinart and husband Terry of PA, Amy Jo Schantzenbach and husband Trent of PA; nephew-in-law, Steve Kuzman of FL; nephews Jimmy Kirk of OH, Carl Kirk of OH, Scotty West and wife Rachel of GA, and Jake West and wife Noelle of OH; step-daughter, Dawn McDonald and husband Mike; step-grandchildren, Sydney McDonald and fiancé Chris, Tori Georgius and husband Conor; and step-great granddaughter, Peyton Georgius all of MD. She was also survived by many second cousins and other nieces and nephews.

A private celebration of life service will be held at the convenience of the family.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel serving the family.
