Debra Lynn Alderman, a loving mother and nanny, age 64 of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023 at her home. Ms. Alderman was born in Patrick County, Virginia on August 28, 1958. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Edward Bowman; mother, Nana Belle Lurene Willard Bowman; and brother, John Bowman.

Survivors include her sons, Chris Alderman (Scarlett), Robert Alderman (Whitney), and Tyler Alderman; grandchildren, Hunner Alderman, Dixon Alderman, Elliott Alderman, and Henry Alderman; siblings Ed Bowman (BJ), Allen Bowman (Wanda Harbin), Paulette Beasley (Jimmy), Loretta Stout (Mark), and Kim Stockner (Tony); sister-in-law, Tammy Bowman; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Ed Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the Willard Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Hillsville Preschool P.O. Box 356 Hillsville, VA 24343. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
