Deborah Ann Duncan Horton, 68 years old, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 8, 2021 at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina. She spent her entire life helping others. She was born in Alexandra, Virginia to the late Charles William Duncan and Nannie Frances Moore Duncan. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Charles William Duncan, Jr., mother and father-in-law, Ma and Pa Horton; and sister-in-law, Mildred Horton.

Survivors include her husband, James Wayne Horton; daughter and son-in-law, Bessie and Allen Hilbert; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy and Alvin Crowder and Mary and George King; grandchildren, Richard Keith Hawks and Audi Hamblin, Jessica and Brett Bobbitt, and Chelsey and Tyler Melton; her precious great-grandchildren, Leland Hawks, Bentley Hawks, Michael Hawks, Charleigh Lynch, Clinton Lynch, Starlynn Bobbitt, Harper Melton and Haven Melton; sister-in-law, Linda Horton; brother-in-law, Virgil Horton; very special people in her life, Ethan Horton, Stanley Patton, Bobby Lineberry (the Gladeville Grocery Gang), Jill Barrett, Amber Gunter, and Allen (Hippie) and Kimberly Hilbert; several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. Grace Kim, Rev. David Payne, and Rev. Barry Newman officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
