Debbie Jane Jones of Mt. Airy, NC formerly of Hillsville went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, September 20, 2013. She joined her parents, Walter and Ilene Jones, grandson Benjamin Caudell, and nephews Jake Kirkner, Ken Bobbitt, Matthew Jones, and Dominic Jones. She is survived by daughters, Joy Henley of Hillsville, Pamela Henley of Mt. Airy, NC, future sons-in-laws, Coy Beasley and Jeremy Webster; grandchildren, Emily, Ethan, and Marc Hicks, and Evelyn Jane Henley-Beasley; sisters and brothers, Danny and Sheila Jones, Linda and Jerry Kirkner, Valerie and Barry Shelor, Laura and David Surratt, Joyce and Tony Beasley, Walter "Witt" Jones, Winnie and Jack Ross, and many nieces and nephews, and many cherished life long friends. Debbie was full of faith, love, and a vivacious appreciation of life. Her energy at times could rival a person half her age. She had a great love of the written word expressed in the beautiful poetry she wrote. Her love of family was unparalleled especially with the children in her life. Debbie was a generous spirit who gave willingly and joyfully. Her many friends she was blessed with will also miss her kindness and quirky sense of humor. She has left a void that is only filled with the memories of the amazing mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and woman she was. A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at 5:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with The Rev. Bobbie Jo Henley officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, September 22, 2013 from 4:00 PM until time of the service. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans or to the charity of your choice in her honor. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Jones family
