Deavin Shawn Jessup, 8, of Woodlawn, VA passed away on Friday, March 25, 2011 in Ararat, VA.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Junior Nester; great grandfather, Bernie Cain;great uncle Bobby Cain, and dog Bandit.

Deavin is survived by his mother, Misty Dawn Jessup and fianc Greg Dean Horton of Woodlawn; father, Jared Shawn Jessup and fianc Brittany Denice Hill of Ararat; 4 brothers Chasten Dale Cain and Tanner Robert Horton of Woodlawn, Blade Ian Hill of Ararat, and Daniel Jones of Galax; grandparents, Carolyn Nester of Cana, Leon and Gail Jessup of Ararat, Delman Hawks of Ararat, and Lester and Mae Horton of Austinville; great grandmother Mary Jo Cain of Ararat; special friends, Brandon Hawks, Harley , John David Bondurant, and Cody Nester.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Tim Burton and Rev. Ricky Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Coulson Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 28, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
