Ethel Dawn Matthews McGrady, 85, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Woltz Hospice Home, Dobson, North Carolina. Dawn was born October 30, 1935 in Mt Airy, North Carolina to the late Boyd Monroe and Lila Ethel Cruise Matthews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Owen "Tex" McGrady.

Dawn is survived by daughter Sharon Hiatt and son Tommy McGrady; three grandchildren and sister Brenda Hill.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Joy Ranch Road, Woodlawn.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
