David Stuart Semones, 63, of Dugspur, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at his home. Mr. Semones was born in Galax to the late Alger George and Louise Funk Semones. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by grandsons, Colt Flynt Semones and William Scott Peppers.

Survivors include his wife, Marcia Semones of the home; children and spouses, Aaron Smith of Dugspur, Shannon and Melissa Semones of Hillsville, Marc and Breanna Peppers of Galax, Charlie Peppers of Louisville, KY, and Shelli and Chris Burnett of Hillsville; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Faye Semones of Galax; and grandchildren, Makayla Wilson, Wesley Peppers, William Burnett, Santana Day, Olivia Peppers, Jase Burnett and Maci Semones.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Fairview Presbyterian Church with Dustin Montgomery and David Bays officiating.   Burial will follow in the Nester Cemetery in Laurel Fork. Masonic Rites will be conducted at the cemetery by the Hillsville Masonic Lodge #193 AF and AM. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
