David B. Scott, 75 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at his home. Mr. Scott was born in Asheboro, NC to the late Burgess Walter and Beulah Grace Lyndon Scott. Survivors include his wife, Nell Y. Scott of the home; son and daughter-in-law, David Jeffrey and Terry Scott of Hillsville; daughter, Sheila S. Cox of Chesterfield; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dot Key and Joanne and Ronald Morgan all of Asheboro, NC, and Linda and Ronald Mann of Ashville, NC; brothers and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Anita Scott and Bill Scott all of Lexington, NC; grandchildren and spouse, Megan and Allan Bilicki, Kallie Scott, Benjamin Cox, and Gavin Scott; and great granddaughter, Miranda Bilicki. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 4:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Hillsville with Pastor Ty Harrison, Pastor Ronnie Collins, Pastor Pam Sutherland, and Mr. Jim Woltz officiating. Burial will follow in Wilkinson Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 until 4:00 PM on Friday prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the local American Cancer Society or the Blue Ridge MS Society. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
