David Thomas Lentz, 54 of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at his home. Mr. Lentz was born in Ohio to the late Frank A. and Audrey Neuman Lentz. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a special friend, Jim Hurley.

Survivors include his brother, Frank Anthony "Tony" Lentz; sister, Marcie Lezine; fiancé, Kathy Culler; life-long friend, Mark Crissman; and nieces and nephew, Katarinia Lezine, Arwen Lentz, and Justin Lentz.

David served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. He was a sergeant in the Winston Salem police department and retired after 31 years of service.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with family and friends speaking Friends will be received at the visitation from 12:00 until 2:00 prior to the memorial service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
