David Monroe Haulsey, 73 of Hillsville, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.  Mr. Haulsey was born in Maryland to the late David Ned and Elizabeth Glene Edwards Haulsey.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Alan Haulsey and Douglas Mack Haulsey.

Survivors include his wife, Katherine M. Haulsey; daughters and son-in-law, Heather Lynne Haulsey Fegley and April Nicole Haulsey Rector (Will); sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda Glene Haulsey Payne (Harrison) and Lena Marie Haulsey Drummond (Larry); brothers, Neil Eugene Haulsey and Walter Sherman Haulsey; and two very special grandchildren, Ethan Fegley and Addison Fegley; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Felts Cemetery with Pastor Bill Rector officiating.  The family will receive friends at the home after the service.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
