David Lewellyn Burdick, 74, formerly of Cumberland Heights, TN, later of Collegedale, TN, and from 1985 - 2004 of Cana, VA, passed away peacefully in his sleep, Friday night, October 24, at the Waddell Nursing Home in Galax, VA where he had resided for the past four years.

David was the son of Burnell and Mary Burdick of Cumberland Heights, TN (both now deceased) and husband of Barbara Hurst Burdick of Cana, VA for 49 years at the time of her death in 2005.

He is survived by his three brothers and their wives, Paul and Bille Burdick of Ooltewah, TN, John and Ardie Burdick of Dumfries, VA, and Al and Doris Burdick of Lincoln, NE.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Galax, VA SDA church, Saturday afternoon, November 29, with visitation time preceding the service and interment following it at the Flower Gap Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his honor may be sent to the Galax Seventh-day Adventist church.
