Daulton Jackson Dillard, 92 of Woodlawn, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016 at Highland Ridge Rehab in Dublin, Virginia. Mr. Dillard was born in Louisiana to the late Artis and Sarah Elizabeth Kahl Dillard. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Clara Virginia Dillard; brothers Clarence and William Dillard; sisters, Hattie Mae Slade and Evelyn Dillard Adkins; and step son, Glen "Bunkie" Richardson.

Survivors include his step sons, Bobby Richardson and Wes Surratt; special nieces, Linda Duncan and Diane Dillard; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Daulton was a Christian who was very active in his church. He was a World War II Veteran and retired from the Navy after 22 years of service.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Camo Church at 189 Raider Road, Woodlawn, VA with Rev. Jay Nolen officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Hillsville Grover King Post 1115. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family .
