Darrell Lester Ogle, 83 of Hillsville passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023At his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Posey and Ella Bond Ogle; grandson, Carl Dewayne Cummins.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy McPeak Ogle of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Patricia Ogle; daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy Cummins and fiancé Bobby, Janet Ogle, Darlene and Daymon Horton, and Donna Hudson; brother, Daniel Ogle; grandkids and spouses, Jeremy and Vickie Cummins, Crystal and Michael Nester, Brandon Horton, Bart and Hannah Horton, Jennifer Horton, Dereck and Kayla Ogle, and Matthew Hudson; 18 great-grandchildren.

Darrell enjoyed riding the lawnmower to check the cattle. In his younger years he enjoyed taking the kids to wrestling matches. He also enjoyed watching boxing matches with his grandsons.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Wendell Horton officiating. Burial will follow in the Surratt Cemetery.
