Darlene Mae Gardiner, 68, of Hillsville, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2006 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Gardiner was preceded in death by her parents Amanuel J. and Madeline Cook Hicks. She is survived by her husband Carl E. Gardiner of the home; son & daughter-in-law John Clifton & Bonnie Gardiner of Oak Island, NC; three grandchildren Maxwell Gardiner, Ian Pare and Marjorie Pare; and sisters Carolyn Stalnaker of St. Maries, FL and Jeri Rasey of Atlanta, GA.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2006 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Layne Pennington officiating.
