Damon Hutchens, 79, of Austinville, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Hutchens was born in Carroll County to the late George Clyde and Ocie Bell Beasley Hutchens. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Gale Hutchens. Survivors include his brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry Hutchens of Austinville, Roger and Nina Sue Hutchens of Galax, and Leonard and Shirley Hutchens of Hillsville; sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Donald Wilkins of Winston Salem, NC; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 7, 2012 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 1:00 PM with Elder Ronald Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the Beasley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 6, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
