Damon Edward Hill, 85 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Hill was born in Carroll County to the late Robert C. & Gladys Hill. He is survived by daughters & son-in-law Sue Hill of Roanoke and Tina & Michael Nowlin of Salem; son Gary Hill of Hillsville; grandson Austin Nowlin; brothers Ralph Hill of Roanoke and Ray Hill of Hillsville; sister Beulah Hill Sumner of Hillsville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 31, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Wendell Horton officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Memory Gardens. Military rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, October 30, 2010 from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM.
