Daisy L. Myers, 88 of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023 at her home.  She was born near Hillsville on August 4, 1934 to the late Louis C. and Mollie F. Myers.

Daisy graduated from Hillsville High School in 1951 and then went on to the National Business College in Roanoke, Virginia where she obtained a two-year-plus business degree.  She was employed as a clerk in the Carroll County Clerk's Office for many years and retired from the Carroll County Extension Office.  Daisy was a member of Round Knob Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, Daisy was also preceded in death by five very dear sisters.  She is survived by two brothers, Kenneth M. Myers (Carole P.) of Troutville and Gene Paul Myers of Galax; brother-in-law, Larry Phillips of Midlothian; special nephew, Hagen Giles of Hillsville; and seven other special nephews and nieces. Love of family was important to Daisy.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to her four wonderful friends and caregivers that became family, Gloria Frazier, Delta D. Sowers, Katie Cochran, and Tracy Bryant.

As per Daisy's request, cremation was chosen and there will be no services. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
