Daisy D. Gardner, 87 of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Gardner was born in Carroll County to the late Cleveland and Larama McPeak Durnill. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her grandson Ricky Gravley. She is survived by her husband Otis Glenn Gardner of the home; daughter Judy Gravley of Hillsville; granddaughter Amee Gravley; great grandchildren Dakota, Jacob, and McKenzie; brother Curtis Durnill of Hillsville; and sister Addie Pettry of Hillsville.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 12, 2011 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. R.J. Buttery officiating. Burial will follow in the Branscome Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, August 11, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
