Cova Banks Midkiff, 81, of Hillsville passed away on January 13, 2007 at Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Midkiff; sons Frank E. Midkiff and Danny C. Midkiff; and grandchildren Kara Hicks and Randy Jennings. Mrs. Midkiff is survived by daughters Frances Bateman of Union Grove, NC, Ann Snyder of Yadkinville, NC, Nina Garton of Hillsville, and Cindy Hicks of Mt. Airy, NC; brothers Foy Banks of Fremont and Connie Banks of Galax; sisters Joy Combs of Fancy Gap and Opal Semones of Hillsville; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

The service will be on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Skyview Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Wendell Horton officiating. Burial will follow in the Quesinberry-Bobbitt Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday, January 15, 2007 from 6 to 8 PM.
