Cosby Horton's Obituary
Cosby Banks Horton, 101 of Hillsville, passed away
on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Radford
Health and Rehab Center. Mrs. Horton was born on
November 28,1915 in Fancy Gap, VA to Posey and
Lilly Banks. In addition to her parents, she was also
preceded in death by her husband, Roby, sisters:
Oleta Kieffer, Arlene Meredith, Hazel Fariss, and
Rubye Webb; brothers: Blaine Banks and Early
Banks; and two children: Infant son, Worth and
son, Gary.
Survivors include her three children and their spouses, Sam and Carol Horton, Williamstown, West Virginia, Alice and Gary Collier, Radford, Virginia, and Peggy and Rodney Stanley, Easley, South Carolina; sisters, Mary Alice Dalton, Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Joanna Sechler, Charlotte, North Carolina; brother, Tom Banks, Leeds, Alabama; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December
23, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Round Knob Baptist Church
with Pastor Bobby Webb officiating. Burial will
follow in the Heath Banks Cemetery. The family will
receive friends at the church on Friday, December
23, 2016 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-
McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
