Connie Ballard Worrell, 87 of Hillsville, left this world peacefully on July 31, 2021 at Heritage Hall-Laurel Meadows.  He was born Feb. 14, 1934 to Grover Reed and Penelope Cock Worrell in Carroll County, Virginia.  He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Marvin Driskel Worrell, Douglas Worrell, and Delton Worrell; and sister, Mavis Worrell.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce G. Worrell; two daughters, Deborah W. Heflin and husband, Ray, of Hillsville and Diana W. Asbury and husband, Allen of Botetourt; three granddaughter, Adrian Nicole Heflin, Emily H. Beasley and husband, Chad of Hillsville and Rachel Allison Asbury of Botetourt; three great-granddaughters, Ellie Inez Heflin, Hayden Paige Heflin and Ember Marie Beasley all of Hillsville; one step-granddaughter, Shannon H. Hawks and husband, Greg and one step-great-granddaughter, Grace Hawks of Galax; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Kay Feely of Rosewell, Georgia; good friend, Kenneth Burnette; and several nieces and nephews.

We want to thank everyone at Heritage Hall for their kindness and excellent care of Connie.  He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  Words cannot express how much he will be missed.

A memorial service will be held on August 10, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Donald White officiating.  Burial will be private.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
