Connie W. Richardson Connie Willis Richardson, 86, of Sylvatus, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, April 28, 2012. He was born on June 28, 1925 in Sylvatus, Virginia to Joseph and Agnes Quesenberry Richardson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Leo Richardson, and Sister-in-law Edna Richardson of Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. Connie served in the South Pacific in the United States Army during WW II. His extraordinary driving skills afforded him not only a successful career but many unique opportunities throughout his life. He was active in the community and in the Sylvatus Ruritan Club for many years. He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Audra Montgomery Richardson, three sons; Martin and his wife Bonnie of Concord, North Carolina, Tom and his wife Ellen of Hillsville, Virginia, Colin and his wife Shirley, of Raphine, Virginia, and a daughter, Gwen Richardson Loftis, of Spartanburg, South Carolina; eleven grandchildren; Trent Richardson and his wife Jessica of Lynchburg, Virginia; Tiffany Keith and her husband Jason, of Maumelle, Arkansas; Tyler Richardson and his wife Katie of Franklin, Tennessee; Daniel Loftis of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Danica Loftis of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Samuel Loftis of Charleston, South Carolina, Collin and Regina Richardson of Raphine, Virginia, Amy Crisp and her husband Jerry of Forest, Virginia, Hillary Culler and her husband Jeff of Hillsville, Virginia, Benjamin Beach and his wife Megan of Lynchburg, Virginia, and ten great-grandchildren; Addison and Wyatt Keith, Makayla and Levi Loftis, Ryder Richardson, Bayley, Taylor and Isabella Crisp, and Samantha and Chloe Beach. Visitation will be at Vaughan Guynn McGrady Funeral Home in Hillsville on Monday, April 30, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. A funeral service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor David Bays of Sylvatus Christian Church officiating.
