Conard Horton, 82, of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Horton was born in Carroll County to the late Floyd Raymond and Sophia Alverta Robinson Horton. Survivors include his wife, Ima L. Horton of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis C. & Donna Horton of Hillsville; daughters and son-in-law, Laverne Horton Alderman of Hillsville and Connie Jean and Donnie Quesinberry of Hillsville; siblings and spouses, Emma Imogene Caviness of Austinville, Joseph Wayne and Anna Belle Horton of Hillsville, Lester and Ina Horton of Fancy Gap, and Ida Belle Webb of Fancy Gap; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Round Knob Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Bobby Webb and Rev. Larry Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Henley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, January 9, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
