Clyde Martin Wilson, Jr.

Clyde Martin Wilson, Jr., born May 8, 1958 in Galax, Virginia, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of his late wife, Darlene Wilson, with whom he shared many devoted and loving years. Their marriage was one of companionship, care, and lasting affection.

Clyde found contentment in the simple pleasures of everyday life. He greatly enjoyed good food and especially looked forward to meals at his favorite café, the County Line. He was known for his enjoyment of telling stories and sharing reflections from his life. During quiet moments, he could often be found playing solitaire or watching cooking shows, which brought him comfort and enjoyment.

Above all, Clyde treasured the companionship of his beloved pets. His loyal dog, Pugsley, along with his cats, brought him comfort, joy, and faithful companionship throughout his days.

Though his circle was small, the connections Clyde formed were deep and sincere. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will remain a treasured part of the lives he touched and will be held close in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

There will be no services at this time. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family of Mr. Wilson.
