Clyde R. Sutphin, 89, of Hillsville passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Shepherd Sutphin; parents, Lonnie and Sadie Turner Sutphin; brothers, Irvin Sutphin, Raymond Sutphin, and Jack Sutphin; sister, Charlene Sutphin.

Survivors include his children and spouses, Beverly Sutphin and Mat Reynolds, Dana Sutphin and Bob Snow, Clyde Hal and Lydia Sutphin, Jill Sutphin and Steven Worrell; brothers and spouse, Larry Sutphin and Brenda, and Wayne Sutphin; grandchildren and spouses, Scott Reynolds, Anna and David Berck, Cory Hal and Anna Sutphin, Mitchell and Kristin Sutphin Leisa Rector and Matthew, Meghan and Adam Viet, and Bethany Worrell; great grandchildren, Katrina Reynolds, Joey Reynolds, Ezra Berck, Miriam Berck, Gracie Sutphin, Carson Sutphin, Luke Sutphin, and Ryker Sutphin; great-great grandchildren, Austin Reynolds, Keith Glovier, Katie Glovier, and Joseph Reynolds, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Michael Shockley officiating. Burial will follow in the Turner-Duncan Cemetery.
