Clayton Perry Smith, 87 of Hillsville, Virginia passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nina Deloris Alderman Smith; parents, William Augustus and Tencie Elizabeth Goodman Smith; brothers, Willborne Smith and David Smith and sister, Loretta Smith Dye.

Survivors include his children and spouses, P.J. and Meta Smith, David and Fara Born, and Alexander and Shelly Smith; seven grandchildren, Joseph Perry, Lovina Goad, Kileigh King, Deanna Witherspoon, Spencer Born, Savannah Born, and Madison Smith; three great grandchildren, Grayson Smith, Ryan Goad, and Elaina Goad.

A Graveside Service and Burial will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Montgomery Smith Cemetery on Route 750 Harvest Road. Military Rites will be conducted by Hillsville V.F.W. Grover King Post 1115. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Smith family.
